Sensei Alex: The Spartan Super Race

As 9 July creeps ever closer, my Man vs Lakes challenge is nearly upon me. I have decided that it is time to up the ante with my training and recently participated the Spartan Super Race.

The Spartan Super Race is 10 miles of off road terrain including: log carries up and down hills; sand bag carries up and down more hills; mud crawls under barbed wire; 7ft high walls with no where to go but over the top of them; atlas stones to carry with lots of burpees thrown in; and as if that wasn’t enough monkey bars and rope climbs for good measure.

I am proud to say that I completed the race in 280th place from 1,170 racers with a time of 2 hours 17 mins. Hopefully this helps me fully prepare for my upcoming race.

I would also like to thank everyone that has already sponsored me and for your continued support. I am delighted to say that I have already managed to raise £976 for children’s charity Sparks, much more than I thought I would manage. If you would like to donate further you can do so at the following web page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Sensei-Alex
